Auto-dumping – what does it mean?
Some may experience a slight leak during toilet visits. This is called “auto-dumping” or “self-emptying” and happens when the pressure of urination or defecation temporarily shifts the front edge of the disc, allowing a small amount of blood to escape.
It’s completely normal and harmless – in fact, many people find it a practical feature because the disc can empty itself a little without you having to take it out. When you’re done, simply slide the Elskbar Disc back behind your pubic bone to make sure it’s back in place and snug.
You therefore do not have to worry about auto-dumping when you sit down, squat or play with your children – it only happens in connection with toilet visits.
If you experience a leak outside of toilet visits, it may be a sign that the disc needs to be emptied or that it is not seated correctly. You can read more under this guide.
